The Developing teacher course with Spanish—Terms & Conditions of Enrolment

Please note that enrolment on our courses is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Deposits (the first month of your course – €300) are non-refundable.
    1. One payment option—Full fees must be paid at least 2 weeks before the start of the course.
    2. Instalments option—You pay the deposit and then the next instalments within the first full week of each month of the course, except for the last month. If a payment is not made by the due date you will lose your place on the course until it is received.
    3. Participants processing a student visa—In order to process the student visa payment for the course has to be made in full by the date of your appointment with the consulate.
  2. If you postpone the starting date of your course giving:
    1. More than 2 weeks notice—no penalty. The deposit will be valid for a future course. The course must be taken within 12 months of its postponement.
    2. Less than 2 weeks notice—you will forfeit your original €300 deposit which must be paid again. If any other payments have been made, that money will be valid for a future course. The course must be completed within 12 months of its postponement.
  3. If you cancel the course:
    1. More than 2 weeks before the course starts—full refund of balance (not of €300 deposit)
    2. Between 2 and 0 weeks before the course starts—50% refund of balance (not of deposit)
    3. Less than 1 week before the course starts—0% refund
    4. If your visa is rejected, as long as proof of rejection is sent to us, we would refund full fees except the deposit of the course and a €150 administration charge (including visa support).
  4. If you do not show up to your course and you have not given us any prior notification of this, the initial €300 deposit will need to be paid again if you wish to rejoin.
  5. Course fees must be received at least two weeks before any appointment at the consulate to allow sufficient time to prepare and send documents
  6. If you fail to complete at least 85% of the course, we will be unable to provide you with the course certificate or a letter of course completion for visas or identity cards. You will also lose access to the visa service. 
  7. If you withdraw from the course before completion or have less than 85% attendance, we will be obliged to notify the immigration authority due to you no longer meeting the requirements for your student visa (non-EUs).
  8. The place on any course and fees paid cannot be transferred to another person.
  9. Oxford TEFL cannot be held responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
  10. We reserve the right to cancel a course up to 2 weeks before the start date. In this case your full fees will be refunded (including deposit). Trainees taking courses outside of their home country are advised to have cancellation insurance for their flights.
  11. Groups of Spanish classes are formed every month, according to demand. If a minimum of 6 students is not met, alternative study activities will be arranged.
  12. The Developing Teacher course can run from a minimum of 1 month up to a maximum of 12 months.
