Face-to-Face Intensive Cambridge CELTA & Trinity CertTESOL – Terms & Conditions of Enrolment

Please note that enrolment on our courses is subject to the following terms and conditions:  

  1. Deposits are non-refundable.
  2. The balance of course fees must be paid no later than 15 working days before the first day of the course. Should the balance not reach us on time, you will automatically be placed on a reserve list and risk losing your place if someone pays in full before you do. There will be no right to a refund of your deposit.
  3. If you postpone the starting date of your Trinity CertTESOL or Cambridge CELTA course giving:
    1. More than 4 weeks notice—no penalty. The deposit will be valid for a future course. The course must be completed within one year of its postponement.
    2. Less than 4 weeks notice—you will forfeit your original deposit which must be paid again. If any other payments have been made, that money will be valid for a future course. The course must be completed within one year of its postponement.
  4. If you postpone your course and are required to repay your deposit, you will not be eligible for the Early Bird discount.
  5. If you cancel the Trinity CertTESOL or Cambridge CELTA course, or if you notify us of your visa denial:
    1. More than 4 weeks before the course starts—full refund of balance (not of deposit)
    2. Between 2 and 4 weeks before the course starts—50% refund of balance (not of deposit)
    3. Less than 2 weeks before the course starts—0% refund
  6. If you would like to transfer your course fees to another location, you will be able to transfer all course fees minus the deposit.
  7. If you do not show up to your course and do not give us any prior notification of this, there will be no refund given of any course fees paid. 
  8. If your visa is rejected, as long as proof of rejection is sent to us, we will refund the full course fees except for the deposit.
  9. If a visa is required, the full course fees must be received at least two weeks before any appointment at the consulate to allow sufficient time to prepare and send documents.
  10. If a student visa is accepted and received, no course fees can be refunded.
  11. The place on any course and fees paid cannot be transferred to another person.
  12. Postponements of extension courses are possible giving no less than one week’s notice. No penalty will be applied in these cases. If the extension course is postponed, it must be completed within one year of its postponement. If Oxford TEFL cancels the extension course, you will receive a full refund. If a trainee cancels the extension course, no refund will be given.
  13. Oxford TEFL cannot be held responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.
  14. We reserve the right to cancel a course up to 2 weeks before the start date. In this case, your full fees will be refunded (including deposit).
  15. A fee of €100 is applicable to any referred projects on the Trinity CertTESOL course (if a project fails and needs to be remarked).
  16. Following the successful completion of the course, you can pick up a hard copy of your certificate from our school, or we can post it to you free of charge (via the standard, registered postal system). We will store your certificate at our school for two years. If you would like a hard copy of your certificate after that time, you may need to request a replacement certificate from Trinity/Cambridge directly.

 

Terms & Conditions – Online (Blended) CELTA – Barcelona

Please note that enrolment on our Online (Blended) CELTA course in Barcelona is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Deposits are non-refundable (€400).
  2. If you postpone the start date of your course giving:
    1. More than 4 weeks’ notice—no penalty. The deposit will be valid for a future course. The course must be completed within two years of its postponement.
    2. Less than 4 weeks’ notice—you will forfeit your original deposit, which must be paid again. If any other payments have been made, that money will be valid for a future course. The course must be completed within two years of its postponement.
  3. If you cancel the course giving:
    1. More than 4 weeks’ notice before the course starts—full refund of balance (not of deposit)
    2. Between 2 and 4 weeks before the course starts—50% refund of balance (not of deposit)
    3. Less than 2 weeks before the course starts—0% refund

  6. You must attend at least 10 weeks (Saturdays) of class. Absence from any teaching practice days will only be accepted at the discretion of the course director.
  7. Failure to attend at least 10 weeks (Saturdays) of class on without valid proof of the reason for absence (e.g. doctor’s note), may result in expulsion from the course.
  8. You must participate to a satisfactory standard in the online phase of the course.
  9. Oxford TEFL cannot be held responsible for loss or theft of personal belongings.

  11. Terms & Conditions – Part-time / Full-time 100% Online CELTA course

Please note that enrolment on our courses is subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Deposits are non-refundable (€400).
  2. Deposits must be received in order to secure a participant’s place on the course.
  3. If paying in advance, all course fees must be received by the Wednesday before the course starts at 12:00 noon (Spain time).
  4. If you cancel or postpone the starting date of your course:
    1. By the application deadline on Wednesday at 12.00 noon Spain time, the deposit will be valid for a future course. The course must be completed within one year of its postponement.
    2. Between Wednesday at 12.00 noon and 9.00 am (Spain time) on the first day of the course — you will forfeit your original deposit which must be paid again.
    3. After 9.00 am (Spain time) on the first day or succeeding days of your course, you will forfeit all course fees paid and you will not be able to use any fees for future courses.
  5. If you do not show up to your course and do not give us any prior notification of this, there will be no refund given of any course fees paid.
  6. If you have already started the course and need to defer to a later date, for whatever reason, you will be required to repay the original €400 deposit plus any other costs incurred to us as a result of this deferral.
  7. The place on any course and fees paid cannot be transferred to another person.
  8. You must participate to a satisfactory standard on the course.
  9. We reserve the right to cancel a course up to the Wednesday before the course starts. In this case, your full fees will be refunded (including deposit) or an alternative course will be offered.
  10. Participants are required to have the following in order to participate in the course:
    1. Hardware: A laptop/desktop computer with Windows or Mac OS, plus a webcam, speakers, and microphone (if your device does not have this).
    2. Internet connection: Minimum: 1.0Mbps/1.0Mbps (upload/download) Recommended: 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (upload/download)
  11. Following the successful completion of the course, you can pick up a hard copy of your certificate from our school, or we can post it to you free of charge (via the standard, registered postal system). We will store your certificate at our school for two years. If you would like a hard copy of your certificate after that time, you may need to request a replacement certificate from Cambridge directly.
