***Payments***

1. Deposits (€400) are non-refundable and must be received to secure your place on the course.

2. The full course fees must be received by the payment deadline(s) listed in your place offer email.

3. If you have a balance which is…

…7 days past due, your access to tutor support (Moodle, Slack, etc.) will be temporarily suspended.

…21 days past due, you will be considered to have withdrawn from the course and will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Your place on the course and fees paid cannot be transferred to another person.

5. If you postpone your start date and notify us…

…before the course starts, all fees paid (including the deposit) will be valid for a future course taken within one year of postponement.

…after the course starts, you will need to repay the €400 deposit to join a later course. Any other fees paid will be valid for a future course taken within one year of postponement.

6. If you cancel your registration and notify us…

…before the course starts, you will receive a full refund of all fees paid except the deposit (€400).

…after the course starts, no fees will be refunded. However, a portion of your fees may still be valid if you wish to join a later course (see postponement terms above).

7. We reserve the right to cancel a course up to 5 days before the start date. If this happens, you will have two options:

- Postpone your start date (all fees paid will be carried forward).

- Request a full refund of all fees paid (including the deposit).

8. Oxford TEFL cannot be held responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings.


***Academic Standing***

1. In order to remain in good academic standing, candidates must pass…

…at least 80% of their assignments from the study phase.

…at least 1 of the 4 units (i.e., the Trinity assessments) within 2 years of starting the course.

…all 4 units (i.e., the Trinity assessments) within 3 years of starting the course.

2. If these conditions are not met, the candidate will be considered to have withdrawn from the course. Exceptions may be made at our discretion if sufficient evidence is provided of an extenuating circumstance.

3. Candidates must complete the study phase in good academic standing before they can register for the Trinity assessments. We reserve the right to defer putting candidates forward for their Trinity assessments if we feel they are not ready.


***Plagiarism***

1. Trinity defines plagiarism as “the excessive copying by candidates of other people’s ideas and/or words in the production of written and practical work, and misrepresentation of it as their own; this must go beyond the normal sharing of common ideas” (DipTESOL Validation Requirements, p.104).

2. If a candidate is found to have plagiarised, for the first infraction, the candidate will receive a grade of zero (0) for the assignment in question. Repeated offences will result in expulsion from the course, with no refund given.


***Visas***

1. If you would like to do your teaching practice in Barcelona, Cádiz, or Hong Kong, it is your responsibility to check if you need a visa for your preferred location. If you are required to apply for a visa, you will need to make an appointment at least two months in advance of travel to ensure that your visa is received in time.

2. If you require a Schengen visa for Spain, you will need to submit your application to BLS International. For other locations, please contact us for more information.

3. If you need a letter of enrolment to present with your visa application, we can send you a PDF letter via email free of charge.


***Trinity Exam Fees and Extra Support***

1. Trinity exam fees vary based on the location of your course provider. If you signed up for the teaching practice in Hong Kong, please contact English for Asia for more information regarding your exam fees.

2. Exam fees are due at the time of registration (2 months before your assessment takes place).

3. Trinity reserves the right to change fees without further notification. The current fees are listed on this page: https://oxfordtefl.com/terms-conditions/terms-dip/#fees

4. If a candidate cancels their Trinity assessment(s) after the registration deadline, he/she will be marked absent and will have to pay the full Trinity fees for that exam again.
