It also pushed me forward, I started considering other TEFL areas and soon I wanted to branch out into teacher training. I felt the Dip had provided me with enough theoretical background to embark such an experience. However, I really felt I needed some hands-on practice. I spoke to Duncan and in no time a course was designed specially for me. I found myself observing & shadowing tutors, revising & learning, designing instruments, applying them and redesigning, writing reflections, preparing input sessions, guiding trainees through lesson planning and feedback and when I started working, it felt just like being already there. I found everything I learnt on the Teacher Trainer Course very helpful and useful. I would only single out tutors' effectiveness in getting the ideas across with minimum talk and maximum practical work, being highly professional and approachable, allowing enough space for a personal style to be developed."
