Trinity Diploma in TESOL
For experienced EFL teachers

(For an initial TEFL qualification, Trinity Cert TESOL)

With a TEFL Diploma you can deepen your practical and theoretical knowledge of English Language Teaching and expand your career opportunities. The Trinity Diploma is one of the two internationally recognised and externally validated advanced level qualifications in EFL. (The other is the Cambridge DELTA.)

We offer our Distance Diploma (Blended learning), 6 months on-line from February to July or November to April and four weeks face-to-face in Barcelona in May, August or November.

To apply for the Diploma course you need a minimum of 2 years full-time experience of English language teaching, with any kind of learners. A degree and a Trinity Cert. TESOL or CELTA are desirable, but not essential, as you can demonstrate solid teaching and writing skills in the application process.

Our course fees are very competitive and we keep groups to a maximum of 12, including on our distance Diploma, to ensure you get the support and personal attention that you need on a course as challenging as this one.

The TESOL Diploma course content itself is highly practical with teaching practice as a key element. Assessment for the Diploma in TESOL includes project work and observation of your teaching as well as a traditional written examination.

Highly qualified and experienced tutors.

Our team includes Lindsay Clandfield, author of Straightforward elementary coursebook and Dealing with Difficulties, Mark Powell, author of the coursebooks Business Matters and In Company and Duncan Foord, author of the Developing Teacher. As well as having a wealth of experience teaching and training teachers, our course tutors are specialists in the area of the course or courses they teach and in many cases have published articles in their field. Our Trinity Diploma course includes guest tutors such as Scott Thornbury and Graham Stanley. Meet our Tutors

Our key features page explains what we think makes our Trinity TEFL Diploma course stand out from others. A good way to find out what the Trinity College course is like and how it can develop your teaching and your career is to read some feedback from our graduates. You can also contact them by e-mail, or contact us if you have any questions.

"Having completed the Diploma has been one of the best decisions I have made in terms of professional growth and self-actualisation. The dedicated tutors gave me constructive criticism, targeted at improving my competency in a step-by-step way, raised my awareness and understanding resulting in a much improved teaching and teacher training style. I also secured a role as Director of Studies in Paris after successfully completing the Diploma. Thank you to all the supportive OHC staff that provided invaluable assistance all along the way.
