Key features of our Trinity Dip.
TESOL course
The Trinity course is suitable for all English Language teachers,
whether they are specialists in teaching Young Learners, Business
English, EAP, General English, or a mixture of these. Other courses,
such as the UCLES DELTA exclude Young Learners. The flexible nature of
the Trinity Diploma means you can answer exam questions and submit
projects relating to the learners you teach.

course content.
Aside from all being Trinity Diploma holders themselves, our tutors
have a wealth of experience as language teachers and teacher trainers
in numerous countries. They have spoken at conferences around the world
and published articles in magazines and journals. They have written
coursebooks and professional manuals for teachers with Oxford
University Press, Cambridge University Press, Delta Publishing and
Macmillan. They have published material on the web that you may have
used in class with your students. For these reasons we believe that our
tutor team is really world-class.

out more about who the tutors are here.
We also include guest tutors in our live and on line sessions, experts
in their field of ELT. Recent guests include Scott Thornbury, Gavin
Dudeney and Nicky Hockly, Mark Powell, Kyle Mawer and Jo Budden.
We believe it is essential to create a positive learning atmosphere in
the classroom and the school as a whole on all our courses. This is
true as well of our Distance Diploma course, which, unlike most distance
learning, aims to replicate the dynamic of face-to-face teaching, by
creating a fixed group of learners who study together as a class,
rather than isolated individuals. You will be given plenty of
encouragement, personal attention and support from our team of tutors.
They will challenge you, but create a manageable workload. They will
encourage you to enjoy your learning. Testimonials from our
graduates
The Trinity courses at OxfordTEFL offer maximum possible flexibility
through combining in various ways face-to-face and distance modes of
learning. Candidates can elect to sit
the written exam at any of 3 dates during the year. Practical exams are
taken during your face-to-face block which can be in May, August or
November. Our courses are designed to get you through the exams by
given dates, but you are only assessed when you feel absolutely ready.
The Trinity College London Licentiate Diploma in TESOL, to use its
full title, is one of only 2 advanced qualifications officially
recognised by the British Council (the other is the UCLES DELTA). You
can find out more at the Trinity
College, London website. It has worldwide acceptance as an
advanced teaching qualification and is usually a requirement for senior
teaching posts, teacher training posts, Director of Studies posts and
regular teaching posts with the more “prestigious” language teaching
organisations.
The maximum number of participants is 12, including on our distance
course. This ensures you get the help, support and access to resources
you need.
Because our course participants usually come on personal
recommendation, rather than as result of heavy advertising we feel our course fees to be competitive. Course Fees and dates. We
can offer low cost accommodation
in Barcelona during the face-to-face component of the course in May, August or November.
