This 3 day face-to-face course is ideal for anyone looking to get the most out of online video and video-recording devices in ELT.
During the course, you will develop your awareness and understanding of the potential and versatility of online video in ELT. By taking apart a number of video clips, you will gain valuable insight into the huge number of learning and teaching opportunities that sites such as YouTube have to offer. You will acquire invaluable skills, competences and ideas for lesson planning, creating your own video content, making use of video recorders in the classroom, manipulating video and managing it online. Finally, you will develop ideas and strategies for avoiding issues associated with online video, such as copyright and privacy matters.
Teaching Business English
A practical course focusing on areas of teaching Business English such as needs analysis, using technology, blended learning and teaching presentations. This course is suitable for recently graduated teachers with up to 2 years´ experience in General English or Business English teaching. 20 hours online over 3 weeks.
One-to-One Language Coaching
This is a 20-hour course, taught face-to-face over 3 days with Mark Powell, leading author and trainer in Business English. It provides the specialist training practising teachers need to face the unique challenges of working with the individual learner.
Teaching Young Learners
This course is for both newly qualified and experienced teachers who have limited or no experience teaching English as a foreign language to young learners. Participants gain knowledge and skills in teaching children aged 6-12 years old. This is a 20 hour course taught over 3 weeks on-line.
CLIL Course
CLIL stands for Content and Language Integrated Learning, in other words learning a foreign language and a subject (like Maths or History) at the same time. This course will suit teachers who work in primary and secondary education as well as EFL teachers who want to introduce more content based lessons into their teaching.
