Study Spanish in Cadiz Why not make the most of your time in Cadiz by combining your Trinity TESOL Certificate and/or Teaching Younger Learners Extension course with some Spanish classes? We offer courses for the complete beginner up to advanced learners or, indeed, anywhere in between. The TESOL course and its methodology will prepare you to teach adults anywhere in the world without needing to know the language of that country. Having said that, the benefits of speaking the language of the country are perhaps obvious; having a reasonable grasp of Spanish will help you settle into the country, help you make friends and help you understand the needs of your students. Also, employers are understandably keen to employ teachers who can speak Spanish, at least to some extent. So, having some Spanish is a huge benefit both socially and professionally. Also, it is always good for teachers to be actively involved in learning at any level as it helps us understand and empathise with our students. From the point of view of the TESOL course, being a Spanish student will give you invaluable insights into both teaching and learning. This is a wonderful opportunity for your own teaching as you will observe experienced teachers in action. The only course on the south coast of Andalusia, Spain Located directly on the Atlantic coast of Andalusia in Spain, Cadiz is a real alternative to other city-based courses. With an approximate population of 130,000, it is large enough to have plenty going on but retains the intimate feel of a small and friendly town. Often referred to as "Little Havana", its people are proud of their openness, warmth and love of life. Andalusia, and especially Cadiz, conjures images of fine sandy beaches and low-cost water sports (sailing and surfing, and wind and kite surfing are particularly popular), flamenco, "tapas" and "fino" (or sherry, but not like your grandmother used to drink). Add to this heady mix the weather, with an average of over 300 days of sunshine throughout the year, and Cadiz really is the ideal location for the TESOL course.
