Oxford TEFL scholarship winner

This November 2014 Oxford TEFL donated a Trinity Cert. TESOL course in Prague to one lucky winner as part of the Suzanne Furstner Scholarship, organized by CactusTEFL.

The Suzanne Furstner Foundation was set up in memory of their much-loved friend and colleague, Suzanne, who was tragically lost in a road accident in Spain on 22nd May 2006. She will be remembered for her bounding enthusiasm, her charm, warmth and supportiveness. It is in her honour and memory that the Suzanne Furstner Foundation is dedicated, a project supporting language and educational training across the world, a subject close to her heart. Each year a four week TEFL course is given away to the winning candidate.

This year the task was to write an essay entitled ‘My Dream Teaching Job’ and it would be judged, like every year, by the Cactus team and Suzanne’s parents. We received many entries and it was a difficult job to select five finalists. After much deliberation, a winner was finally chosen – Shervin Hejazi. Shervini will take his Trinity Cert. TESOL course in Oxford TEFL in Prague in 2015. Congratulations Shervin and well done to all the finalists and participants this year for their hard work. There are clearly a lot of talented writers out there!

Here are the five finalists works. We hope you enjoy reading them.
