Payment Schedule
When you are offered a place on one of our courses, you will need to confirm your acceptance with full payment, or a deposit of 600€. The fees for the whole course are 2300€ if paid in 1 payment or 2400€ in 4 installments of 600€. The installment payments are evenly spread throughout the course. Your 600€ deposit will count as your first instalment.
Trinity Exam Fees are paid at the start of June whichever course you are on.
Accommodation is paid directly to your host on arrival.
Method of payment
Payment should be made directly to Oxford TEFL. You may pay your fees by either credit card, bank transfer or cash (not by post).
Course fees include:
Tuition and course materials, Diploma certificate from OxfordTEFL, accommodation-finding service, careers service, free computer and Internet access and paper for printing.
Trinity exam fees include:
Entry fees for all 4 units of the Trinity exam (the written paper, the projects, the phonology interview and the teaching practice) and the Trinity Diploma certificate. If you need to retake a unit, you will need to pay again for that unit. This fee is not included in the course fees. The total cost of the exam fees is 429 euros.
Other course expenses
You will be required to buy 7 books, for which you need to budget around 200 Euros, unless you can access them in your school or local library. At the start of the course you will need to make sure you have adequate stationery: pens, paper, glue, scissors, hole punch, tippex/white out. These can be purchased easily and cheaply locally in Barcelona.
You will be given a photocopy allowance for 400 free copies, which is designed to more or less cover your needs on the course. If you exceed the allowance, you will have to pay for extra copies.
Living expenses
Our graduates have said that about €500 is enough to get by for a month in Spain, including some eating out. Transport, food and drink are relatively cheap, compared to the US or Britain for example, although clothes and luxury goods may not be.
