Accommodation in Prague

We have 2 attractive apartments, which are spacious, centrally-located and within walking distance of the school; you have the option of staying for 4 weeks, the duration of the course, or 5 weeks. The extra week allows you to see the city and have fun without having to think about your schoolwork.  Those interested in staying and working in Prague after the course can also use this time to find a job and a place to live.

You can also make your own arrangements for accommodation, though we recommend you make sure you get something suitable for quiet study. Our TESOL Coordinator, Vincent, will be happy to advise you on your options.

This is a very centrally located, four-bedroom flat in a well-kept Prague apartment building, just off Old Town Square. It is a wonderful 10-minute walk to the school, through Old Town Square, with plenty of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants on the way. There are plenty of shops in the neighborhood, including a supermarket, The Palladium Shopping Center, and a 24-hour convenience shop all within a two-minute walk. There are also excellent transport connections via the nearby metro station, Namesti Rebpubliky (Republican Square), and various tram lines.

The flat is bright and sunny with 4 large bedrooms. There is a shared kitchen with a balcony and a bathroom and separate WC. The kitchen is fully equipped with silverware, pots, pans, ironing board, iron, etc. Bedding is supplied. The flat is on the third floor but there is a lift/elevator. There is a washroom with two washing machines and a large sink. There is Wifi Internet througout the flat.

The flat is situated in a street parallel to ther river. The 15-minute walk into the school is spectacular, taking you along the river bank and across a bridge with views of the castle and Charles Bridge. There is also a tram connection to the school, which is 3 stops away. The river bank and nearby Kampa and Petrin parks are excellent places to relax at the weekend and Andel shopping centre is about 5 minutes walk with a large supermarket and 2 multi-screen cinemas showing English language films. There is also a lively local bar and restaurant scene.

The flat itself is very spacious with four large bedrooms, a fully-equipped modern kitchen/dining room, bathroom and separate WC. It is on the first floor of a classic 1920's Prague apartment block with high ceilings, wood floor and modern furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped with silverware, pots, pans, washing machine, ironing board and iron. There is an elevator/lift in the building. Bedding is supplied. There is Wifi Internet throughout the flat.

Places in the student flats are in great demand and are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. To reserve a room, check availability with our co-ordinator once you have been accepted on the course. You can combine payment with your course fee or pay separately.  Prices include utilities, all bed-linen, cleaning, complementary airport pick-up and internet.

Accommodation in our Student Flats

Check-in time is always the Saturday before the course, anytime after 7:00pm. Check-out time is always on Saturday, at 10:00am. Extra days may be possible subject to availability and will be charged pro rata. We will be happy to help you with any information regarding the accommodation. tesol@oxfordtefl.cz

What if it's full?

If our student flats are fully booked, we will find you individual accommodation at the same price in a flat share with one of our network of hosts in Prague.

In all cases, we guarantee that you will be provided with an adequate room with bedding, a desk and a quiet place to work and study. As with our student flats, this accommodation will be in, or close to, the centre. You have chosen to do the course in a beautiful city and we believe that the only way to take advantage of the setting during this intensive course is to be located centrally.

Arriving in Prague - Complementary Airport Pick-Up

Our staff will coordinate with you regarding your arrival in Prague ensuring you have an easy stress-free experience getting from the airport to the flat.  We have a professional driver with a comfortable luxury car that will pick you up.  If you wish to find your own way, we will provide you with clear directions for how to get to your accommodation and to make sure somebody is at the flat to meet and orientate you. You will receive an email 10 days before the course start date regarding accommodation and arrival information. 

Finding accommodation after the course

We also help you find accommodation after the course by matching you up with an English-speaking representative with access to the biggest inventories of homes and rental flats in Prague. Through this service, you will get a landlord willing to assist in the visa application process (important for non-EU graduates such as Americans, Canadians, and Australians).

The cost of this service depends on the price of rent for your contract.  However, OxfordTEFL graduates receive a significant 50% discount because of the volume of business we provide.
